A Note From Your Therapist

Why I Created Lakeside Therapy

I started Lakeside Therapy so children get the time they need, in the place they feel most comfortable.

It Started With What I Saw.

I worked in corporate health care for over 6 years. I saw firsthand how management emphasizes productivity and numbers over the care and outcomes for a child. I knew there had to be a better way.

It's Not Just 3 to 6 Months.

In many health care systems, families are asked to take a break from services after 3 to 6 months. Every child's journey is different. I'm committed to treating a child until they are appropriately ready to be discharged, not just because of a timeline.

Experience and Passion.

With 8 years of pediatric experience, I'm passionate about using:

  • Vital Stim Therapy to help children with swallowing difficulties and support safe, successful feeding.
  • Neurodevelopmental Techniques (NDT) to treat from birth to 3 years, helping children build the foundation for gross and fine motor milestones.

Building Skills for a Brighter Future.

  • Fine Motor Development
  • Sensory Processing
  • Handwriting
  • Self-Care
  • Regulation and Participation
  • School Readiness

Therapy That Fits Your Family.

I want to offer families the flexibility of scheduling without having to bring their child to another appointment. That means less time in the car, less stress and more time for what matters most: your child.

A Different Approach.

Early On often sees families once or twice a month, with an emphasis on parent coaching. Some families are totally appropriate for that, and I value their approach. For others who need a little extra help, I can be another resource: more hands on, play-based and providing direct intervention to the child to help them grow and thrive.
